She has worked across orthopaedic, musculoskeletal, respiratory and neurological care. ## Background Anneke graduated with a sport science degree in 1993 and a physiotherapy degree in 1997, both from universities in South Africa. She worked in private practice and a private hospital there for a year before coming to the United Kingdom, where she has worked in a range of NHS and private hospitals. From 2002 to 2009 she led the physiotherapy department at a brain injury rehabilitation centre in London.
