Accessibility
Last reviewed: Thursday, 10 September 2026
We treat people living with stroke, Parkinson's, multiple sclerosis and spinal cord injury. A website that is hard to read, hard to navigate with a keyboard or hard to use on a phone held in one hand would be a poor first impression from a clinic like ours, so accessibility is something we take seriously rather than something we tick off.
What we have tried to do
Every page is built to work on a phone first and to be usable at larger text sizes without content disappearing. Colour contrast is chosen so that body text remains legible, and we do not rely on colour alone to carry meaning. Pages can be navigated with a keyboard, headings are used in a real order rather than for decoration, and links are written so that they still make sense when read out of context by a screen reader.
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines at level AA. We are not claiming full conformance, because an honest statement should not claim a standard that has not been independently tested, and ours has not been yet.
What we know is not yet right
Our online booking system is provided by a third party and we do not control its code, so parts of the booking journey may not meet the same standard as the rest of the site. If you find booking online difficult for any reason, please ring reception on 01428 642577 and somebody will book the appointment for you. That is not a lesser route and you will not be treated as a nuisance for using it.
Some documents and images added over time may lack a full text description. Where you meet one, tell us and we will describe it or replace it.
Getting into the clinic itself
Our clinic is at The Edge on Woolmer Hill in Haslemere. There is free parking with spaces close to the entrance, step free access from the car park into the building, and our treatment rooms are on the ground floor. If you use a wheelchair or a frame, or you would find it easier to be met at the door, say so when you book and we will be there.
If travelling to us is the difficult part rather than the appointment, we offer home visits and video and telephone consultations. Ring reception and describe the problem, and we will find the option that suits you.
Telling us about a problem
If any part of this website or of coming to see us is harder than it should be, we want to know. Email reception@healthflex.co.uk or ring 01428 642577 and tell us what you were trying to do and what got in the way. We will reply, and where we can fix it we will say when.
If you need anything on this site in another format, such as large print or plain text, ask and we will provide it.
