The clinical information here is general, not advice for you

This is the part that matters most, so it comes first. The pages on this site describing conditions and treatments are written to help you understand what is common, what treatment usually involves and when to seek help. They are general information. They are not a diagnosis, they are not a treatment plan, and they cannot take account of your history, your medication or your examination findings, because we have not assessed you.

So please do not use this site to rule something out, and please do not delay getting seen because a page here sounded reassuring. If you are worried about a symptom, speak to a clinician. If your symptoms are severe or coming on quickly, contact your GP, ring 111, or in an emergency ring 999.

Where our pages refer to guidance from NICE, the NHS or the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, we are summarising it in plain language rather than reproducing it, and the original source is the authority.

Keeping it accurate

We take care to keep this site correct and up to date, and clinical pages are reviewed on a cycle rather than written once and forgotten. Even so, prices, opening hours, availability and the clinicians offering a particular treatment do change. If a detail matters to a decision you are about to make, ring reception on 01428 642577 and confirm it rather than relying on the page.

Booking and appointments

Booking online takes you to a separate system provided by a third party, which has its own terms. An appointment requested online is confirmed once it appears in our diary. The terms on which we treat you, including what we ask about cancellations, are explained to you at the point of booking and at your first appointment rather than buried here.

Using our content

The words, images and design on this site belong to us or to the people we licensed them from. You are welcome to read it, print a page for your own use, and share a link to it. Please do not republish our content as your own, and if you would like to quote or reference something, email reception@healthflex.co.uk and we will almost always say yes.

Links to other sites

We link to the NHS, to NICE and to condition specific charities because they are useful. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, though we would not link to them if we did not think they were worth reading.

Liability

We provide this website as it is and we do not accept liability for loss arising from reliance on general information published here, as distinct from the care we give you as a patient. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited, and nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Concerns, and the law that applies

If something on this site is wrong, or if you are unhappy about any aspect of your care, please tell us. Email reception@healthflex.co.uk or ring 01428 642577 and we will look into it properly. Our physiotherapists are registered with the Health and Care Professions Council, which handles concerns about a registered clinician's fitness to practise.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. We may update them, and the date this page was last reviewed is shown alongside it.
