Some people come for massage because a shoulder has seized up over a long week at a desk. Some because they are on their feet all day. Some because an hour of being properly looked after is the only hour of the week that belongs to them. All three are good reasons, and we treat them the same way, which is to ask what you want from the session and then deliver that rather than a standard routine.

What to expect
We will ask about what is bothering you, what you do all day and whether anything is currently being treated, then work at a pressure that suits you. Firmer and more specific into tight areas if that is what you need, lighter and broader if the aim is to settle everything down. You are in charge of the pressure throughout, and saying it is too much is not a failure of nerve.
The advantage of a clinic rather than a spa
If something we find looks as though it needs assessing properly, we will say so, and there is a physiotherapist along the corridor. That works the other way round too. If what you have is a tendon problem, a stiff joint or a nerve related pain, massage on its own will not resolve it, and we would rather tell you that than sell you a course of it.
How often
Entirely up to you. Some people come once because something has flared up, others monthly as maintenance. Nobody here will tell you that you need a course of twelve.
What it costs
Thirty minutes is £60 and an hour is £90.
