- Indian head massage

Indian head massage works on the parts of the body where most of us hold the week: the upper back, shoulders, neck, scalp and face. You sit comfortably in a chair, stay fully clothed, and Helen works through each area with a mix of firm and gentle pressure. Most people find it deeply relaxing, and it is a good choice if a full body massage feels like more than you want.
Sessions run on Thursday mornings at the clinic at The Edge on Woolmer Hill, Haslemere, starting on Thursday 29 October. Call reception on 01428 642577 to book.
More information
What happens in a session
Helen will ask a few questions about your health and what you would like from the hour before she starts. You then sit upright in a supportive chair while she works from the upper back and shoulders up through the neck and scalp, finishing with gentle work across the face. If you would rather she used a little oil on the scalp, she will check with you first. You can tell her at any point if you want the pressure lighter or firmer.
Combining it with reflexology
If you would like both, Helen offers a combined seventy five minute session of reflexology and Indian head massage. It is a popular choice for people who want an unhurried treatment from head to feet.
Before you book
Indian head massage is a complementary therapy. It is not a replacement for medical diagnosis or treatment, and we will never suggest otherwise. Let us know when you book about any recent head or neck injury, scalp condition or other health concern so the session can be adapted. If a neck or shoulder problem is causing pain rather than tightness, a physiotherapy assessment may serve you better, and there is a physiotherapist along the corridor.
Price
Indian head massage for sixty minutes is £60. Reflexology and Indian head massage combined, for seventy five minutes, is £80.
