Helen Blakeley

Helen offers reflexology and Indian head massage at Healthflex. Most of the people she sees want the same thing, which is an hour where someone else takes care of them and the noise of the week settles down. She treats each person as an individual and shapes every session around what you need on the day, rather than running through a fixed routine.

Training

Helen holds a Level 5 Practitioner's Diploma in Clinical Reflexology, a higher qualification than the Level 3 diploma most reflexologists train to. She is also qualified in Indian head massage through Ziggie Bergman's CPD training, and is a member of the Association of Reflexologists, the professional body for reflexology in the UK. She keeps her skills current with ongoing training.

Treating people under pressure

Alongside her private work, Helen has volunteered at University College London Hospitals, giving reflexology sessions to hospital staff. It was a chance for doctors, nurses and other staff to step away from demanding roles for a short while, and it shaped the way she works now: calm, unhurried and focused on the person in front of her.
