Orthotics are not a one off purchase that then looks after itself. Feet change, activity changes, shoes change, and the devices themselves wear. A review appointment checks that yours are still doing what they were prescribed to do.

When to book a review
If they have started to feel different, if a new pain has appeared, if you have changed activity or footwear significantly, or if the orthotics are visibly worn or have cracked. Also worth doing if you had them made some years ago and have never had them checked, because it is common for people to persevere with devices that stopped fitting properly a while back.
An orthotic check appointment is £55 for half an hour, and small adjustments can often be made in the appointment itself.
Replacements
A second or replacement pair within twelve months of the original provision is £255. Beyond twelve months, or where your mechanics have changed enough that the original prescription no longer applies, we would usually reassess first so the new pair is made to how your foot works now rather than how it worked then.
If we made them and something is wrong
Where we supplied the orthotics as part of the £480 package, all necessary follow up appointments within that first twelve months are already included. Come back in rather than putting up with them.
