Hypnotherapy for anxiety and stress
This is for the anxiety and stress that has stopped being background noise and started to affect things. Sleep that will not come. A commute that has become difficult. Work that produces a physical reaction before you have opened the laptop. A general sense of being wound too tightly for too long.
Hypnotherapy uses focused relaxation to make it easier to change a response you cannot change by deciding to. The aim of a short course is to leave you with techniques you can use on your own, rather than a standing appointment.
Sessions are face to face at the clinic in Haslemere, and an initial consultation is £120.

What we will and will not claim
We will tell you what the sessions involve and what is realistic. We will not tell you that hypnotherapy is a treatment for a diagnosed anxiety disorder, because that is not what it is. For diagnosed anxiety and depression, NHS talking therapy services offer treatments such as cognitive behavioural therapy that have a large evidence base, they are free, and you can refer yourself to them without going through your GP. If that is what you need, we would rather say so.
Where hypnotherapy is useful is with the everyday stress and specific responses that sit alongside ordinary life, and as something that people often find works well beside other support rather than instead of it.
If you are struggling badly
Please do not wait for an appointment with us. Speak to your GP, ring 111, or call the Samaritans free on 116 123, at any hour. If you are in immediate danger, ring 999. None of that is an overreaction and all of it is more use than a hypnotherapy session booked for next week.
This is a sensitive area, and if you are unsure whether we are the right place to start, ring reception on 01428 642577 and ask.
