Neuro Linguistic Programming is a set of practical techniques for changing patterns of thinking and responding. Where hypnotherapy uses focused relaxation, NLP works more directly with how you represent a situation to yourself, and with the specific sequence of thoughts that produces a reaction you would rather not have.
In practice people come for it because something reliably trips them up. Public speaking. A particular conversation they cannot have calmly. A reaction to driving, or flying, or a place. A pattern they can see clearly from the outside and cannot interrupt from the inside.
NLP sessions are face to face at the clinic in Haslemere. Ring reception on 01428 642577 to book.

Who provides it
Richard Morley is a Master Practitioner and Trainer of NLP, and one of a small number of Certificated NLP and Health Practitioners in the United Kingdom. He also tutors and supervises with the London College of Clinical Hypnotherapy.
What a session is like
Active rather than passive. You will be asked precise questions about how you experience the thing you want to change, which can feel unusual at first, because most of us have never examined it in that detail. The techniques are then aimed at that specific structure rather than at the topic in general.
How it compares to hypnotherapy
They overlap and are often used together. Hypnotherapy tends to suit habit change and anything where relaxation is doing part of the work. NLP tends to suit specific reactions and patterns where you want a technique you can use yourself afterwards. If you are not sure which you want, ring reception and describe the problem, and Richard will tell you which he thinks fits.
What it costs
An initial consultation is £120.
