Richard works with people who want to change a habit or a response they have not been able to shift by deciding to. Stopping smoking is a large part of that, as is the anxiety and stress that has begun to affect sleep, work or driving.

Please note that Richard is now offering remote consultations only. Contact our reception and they will explain how an appointment works.

Background

Richard has worked locally for many years as a hypnotherapist and NLP practitioner. He is one of only a small number of Certificated NLP and Health Practitioners in the United Kingdom, and is a Master Practitioner and Trainer of NLP. He is also a Practitioner of Clinical Hypnotherapy, a full member of the British Society of Clinical Hypnosis, and a tutor and supervisor with the London College of Clinical Hypnotherapy. He is an approved therapist for the National Smoking Cessation Institute and is qualified to work with Alpha-Stim electrotherapy devices.

How he works

Richard's method is to help people recognise resources in themselves they did not know they had, rather than to impose a solution from outside. The first session is largely spent establishing what you actually want to be different, because that is what the rest of the work is aimed at.
