For some people the appointment is not the hard part, the journey is. We treat at home across Haslemere and the surrounding villages for patients who cannot get to the clinic, which in practice means a great deal of our neurological work, people in the early weeks after surgery, and people who have had a fall and lost confidence on their feet.
Treating somebody at home has a genuine advantage beyond convenience. We see the stairs you actually have to climb, the chair you struggle to get out of, the step at the back door and the bathroom you have to manage. Rehabilitation aimed at your real house works better than rehabilitation aimed at a clinic gym.

What we can do at home
Most of what we do at the clinic, adapted. Assessment, hands on treatment, exercise programmes, balance and walking work, transfer practice, and advice on equipment and small changes that make the house easier to live in. Where a piece of clinic equipment would genuinely change the treatment, we will tell you and discuss whether coming in occasionally is worth it.
What does a home visit cost
A home visit is £95, whether it is the first appointment, which runs up to an hour, or a follow up of up to 45 minutes. That reflects the travelling time as well as the appointment itself.
How far do you travel
We visit within about five miles of Haslemere, which covers Haslemere, Grayshott, Hindhead and Liphook. If you are close by but outside that, ring reception on 01428 642577 and ask. We would rather tell you honestly whether we can reach you than have you wonder.
